Woodhouse bros is a historic painting company that was founded over 150 years ago.
We pride ourselves in having proficiency in specialized painting techniques such as wood graining, faux finishes staining and varnishing.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team.
As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement, including the development unique specialty painting skills.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes to ensure a smooth and even finish - Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers - Mix and match colors to achieve desired shades using color theory knowledge - Repair and renovate surfaces as needed, including plastering and stucco work - Use hand tools and equipment such as brushes, scrapers, sanders, and ladders - Work on various projects including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites - Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects Skills:
- Proficient in various painting techniques including stucco application, plastering, and concrete finishing - Strong knowledge of color theory to create desired shades and finishes - Experience with masonry work and concrete finishing is a plus - Familiarity with hand tools used in painting such as brushes, scrapers, and sanders - Ability to perform frame carpentry and trim carpentry tasks when necessary Requirements:
